Counseling Awareness Center (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how Counseling Awareness Center collects and uses information about you when you opt-in to receive SMS messages from us.
Information We Collect
When you opt-in to receive SMS messages, we collect:
-
Your phone number
-
Consent to send SMS messages
How We Collect Your Information
We may collect your information directly from you, such as when you complete a form or contact us; or from others, such as when we receive information about you from doctor and insurance referrals.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
-
Appointment scheduling, confirmations, or cancellations
-
Billing-related information
* This is not an automated messaging service. Our office staff personally sends all messages from our office phone number. We do not send mass messages, promotional content, or marketing messages. We do have a secondary automated messaging system for appointment reminders, more information below.
Automated Appointment Reminders
You may also receive appointment reminders from a separate automated system. These messages come from a different phone number that we do not have access to. If you reply to those messages, they will not be received.
Opting Out of Messages
-
You will continue to receive text messages unless you specifically request otherwise.
-
To opt out, you must either inform our office directly or update your notification preferences in the client portal.
-
Since this is a manual communication service, replying STOP will not unsubscribe you from messages.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, share, or disclose your phone number or SMS consent to third parties for marketing purposes. We may share your information only when necessary:
-
With service providers assisting in appointment scheduling and billing
-
When required by law or court order
Protection of Your Information
We take reasonable steps to safeguard your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.
